Sherborne Prize for Travel Writing
With the 2026 Judging Panel
In the presence of the 2026 judging panel - the acclaimed travel writer and novelist Colin Thubron, award-winning author and bestselling biographer Sara Wheeler and literary agent at Aitken Alexander Associates Emma Paterson - the inaugural, annual £10,000 Sherborne Prize for Travel Writing will be awarded to a published British or European author of bold ambition whose vision and quality of writing encourages understanding between peoples and across societies.
The six shortlisted 2026 authors are Howard Amos, Kapka Kassabova, Robert Macfarlane, Joanna Pocock, Jen Stout and Adam Weymouth.
