Around the World by Train

Monisha Rajesh’s Around India in 80 Trains is “a wonderfully wry and witty debut [which] crackles and sparks with life like an exploding box of Diwali fireworks,” wrote William Dalrymple. The British author – who was born in Norfolk and mostly raised in Yorkshire - followed her fabulous first book with Around the World in 80 Trains, winner of the National Geographic Traveller Book of the Year and shortlisted for the Stanford Dolman Award. Monisha will be discussing her globe-trotting rail travels – as well as her latest book Epic Train Journeys – with Rosie Goldsmith. Her journalism has included the popular monthly Sunday Telegraph column about travelling the world by train journalism as well as features in Time magazine, Vanity Fair, the New York Times, the Guardian and The Sunday Times.
